AN INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING

    ENGINEERING

Q-1-What is Engineering?

answer:-Engineering is all about making machine/s.

The machine(or instrument or device or tool)  is a system that solves

a real-world problem/s.

Therefore we can say that Engineering is all about solving real-world problem/s.

Q-2-WHO IS CALLED A ENGINEER/TECHNOLOGIST?

Answer:-The person who does Engineering i.e who solves real-world problem/s or builds machines is called an Engineer.

In today’s world, a BTech or BE degree is given by various universities and colleges across the world for getting knowledge of Engineering but it is not mandatory.

Q-3-WHAT ARE THE METHODS AND TOOLS THAT ENGINEER USE FOR MAKING MACHINES?

Answer:-Engineers use various methods and other machines for solving real-world problems I,e building machines like mathematics, science(mostly physics), and their mind.

Q-4-WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT A ENGINEER MUST HAVE IN HIS MIND WHILE BUILDING A MACHINE?

Answer:-A Engineer must be an interdisciplinary person that is he must be an allrounder. He must know about engineering, communication, mathematics, science, with his creative calm mind for building machines but he must also know humanity(or arts or social science) and commerce(or money, finance or cost, etc.).

a- COMMUNICATION:-Communication is all about the transfer of information there for it is very very essential that an Engineer must have good communication skills.

b-MATHEMATICS:-Mathematics is all about quantifying nature

that is expressing nature in terms of numbers and measurement

is all about expressing physical quantities in terms of numbers.

Therefore, mathematics is an essential subject for engineers and it is also seen that great Engineers are also great Mathematicians.

c-SCIENCE:-Science or natural science is all about knowing nature and the cause of natural phenomena. For making machines, an Engineer must have knowledge of disciplines of science like physics, chemistry biology, etc.

Physics or science of measurement or fundamental science is the most important tool in all because it enables one to think by the first principle and impart the knowledge of fundamental laws of nature

d-COMMERCE OR MONEY OR FINANCE & COST:-This field is all about understanding and controlling money flow. An Engineer must understand it so that machines are available for all public at minimum cost.

e-HUMANITY OR ARTS OR SOCIAL SCIENCES:-This field is all about understanding and controlling humans politicians, bureaucrats, technocrats and lawyers do that.

A good Engineer must understand that because they are building machines for humans and they must understand other humans.

And also every Engineer must understand that because every technology must go through politics first.

THEREFORE ENGINEER IS A PERSON WHO INVENTS, DEVELOP, MAINTAIN MACHINES WHILE CONSIDERING THE COST

Q-5-WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SCIENTISTS, DEVELOPERS,

DESIGNERS, TECHNOLOGISTS, AND ENGINEERS?

Answer:-

DESIGNATION

SCIENTIST

DEVELOPERS

DESIGNERS

INVENTORS, TECHNOLOGISTS, ENGINEERS

Definition

Persons who want to know about nature.

Persons who maintain and develop machines invented by Engineers,

Persons who made the design of systems so that they look beautiful to humans.

People who invent, develop and maintain machines are called Engineers

Perspective of thinking

Thinking by the first principle.

Eager to know natural phenomena.

Machine and clerical perspective.

Using existing methods to build machines

Human perspective of beauty.

Machine perspective and thinking by the first principle.

Examples

Physicist, Chemist, biologist, etc.

Software developers

WEBSITE DESIGNERS, ARCHITECTS, etc.

Civil, mechanical, robotics, and software engineers, etc.

Q-6-WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT FIELDS IN ENGINEERING?

Answer:-Engineering i.e inventing, developing, and maintaining

machines is a very broad field of study I am naming a few of them

PURE FIELDS OF ENGG

CIVIL

MECHANICAL,

AEROSPACE,

AERONAUTICAL

CHEMICAL
